Also Gloria is an address to remember. Their slogan ‘Simply glorious food’ can be taken quite literally, as their dishes are always refined to perfection. The kitchen serves Belgian-French classics, finger food, pasta… You name it. Also here the menu changes every week. The nice thing is that you can compose your own menu and there is something for everyone. A top if you ask us.

3/ Barba
In the heart of the Mechelsestraat, Barba is a culinary pleasure spot with chef Daniele Soru behind the cooker. The restaurant is known for its fresh seasonal food, brought in a very nice and refined way. Barba’s take-away comes in a standard 3-course menu and comes at 35 euros per person. For this price you can enjoy delicious taste experiences and also the presentation is a caress for the eye. Fun fact: Barba also delivers to your home within a radius of 5 km.

4/ The Land Beyond
“Straightforward, uncomplicated and quirky” are the words you see when you visit the website of Het Land aan de Overkant. In our opinion, a perfect description. Pascal Van Couteren is the chef on duty and conjures up dishes that are prepared with pure craftsmanship. You can see that. You feel it. Here too, a 3-course menu is provided with a choice of meat or fish for the main course. In addition, there is the choice to extend your menu with an entremets: some cheese from Elsen from the Mechelsestraat or a good bottle of wine that is carefully selected. The menu changes every week and is often sold out in no time. So be quick!

5/Sud Sud
At the end of this list we would like to introduce you to Sud. A foodsharing bistro located in the convenient Paris Street. For the take-away, they provide a DIY concept and you can choose what you want. They provide a fantastic range: from small dishes to share to a hearty moussaka, everything is possible at Sud Sud. A nice fact is that they only serve organic wines. Delicious!

We have already approved these 5 addresses. We are curious what you think of them! And hey, hang on for another two months and then you’ll be able to visit these top places again. We are really looking forward to getting back to the ‘old’ life, but we have to be honest: enjoying a delicious menu from our own dining room also has its charms!
