The metropolis of Amsterdam has a lot to offer in terms of food and drink. We chose to give you a sneak peek at one of its most famous lunch spots, Café George.

Cafe George has gained a lot of popularity on social media over the years. That is not difficult, with its interior alone you imagine yourself in Parisian spheres. Photos of famous influencers staying at the shop are often posted. The iconic tableware, engraved with the name ‘George’, can almost be found in almost all of these photos. For this reason, it is best to book in advance if you want to enjoy lunch at this hotspot.

Back to business; how good is their food? The somewhat limited menu gives the impression that all food is prepared à la moment with fresh products. For lunch we chose the pasta vongole and pasta carbonara after which we let ourselves be pampered with a crème brûlée. Each and every one of them was delicious and they clearly paid attention to the preparation and how the different flavours would fit together.

George’s food empire in Amsterdam
Not a fan of that Parisian vibe? Not to worry. The masterminds behind Café George have opened several branches in Amsterdam, each with a variation on its name, decor and menu.
