The most recent creation from the Neuhaus workshop in Brussels includes six different chocolate bases and six distinctive toppings, which you combine to create a delicious praline. The result is 36 personalised chocolate masterpieces that will delight your taste buds.
The inventor of the praline. It’s a title that Neuhaus has carried for more than 100 years and still lives up to today. The Belgian chocolate brand continues to surprise with innovative creations. Unexpected flavours, elegant shapes, sensual structures. With the latest novelty from the workshop, Neuhaus is even more original. It reinvents the praline. Or rather: it leaves the honour to you. With the Chocolate Duets, you follow in the footsteps of the renowned Maîtres Chocolatiers. Neuhaus’ latest creation contains six refined chocolate bases and six richly filled toppings that you yourself mix & match to create a delicious praline. For 36 unique flavour combinations that give your tasting moment an experimental edge.

The first personalisable praline.
With the Chocolate Duets, the Maîtres Chocolatiers show themselves at their most inventive. And they hope to awaken the same sense of experimentation in you. They have selected the most exquisite flavourings for both parts of the praline. The only condition? Each base has to match each topping. Which two eventually become one is up to you. Some duets accentuate each other’s flavour, while other flavour combinations contrast just fine or surprise you with an unexpected mix of delicious aromas.
The six toppings let you enjoy a creamy praline or ganache filling coated in white, milk or dark chocolate. The pralinés surprise you with a touch of almond, hazelnut or pecan, while the ganaches give you a taste of a mix of cream and chocolate from Venezuela and Costa Rica. The list includes that other classic: salted caramel ganache.

The six chocolate bases provide a specific aromatic touch in your personalised duet. They stimulate your senses with flavours like white chocolate with raspberry, lime and lemon or Madagascar vanilla. The three other flavour flavours – milk chocolate with ginger, dark chocolate with coffee or white and milk chocolate with caramel – make your choice even more challenging.

For the eternal doubter, the unadulterated adventurer or the enthusiastic impulsive, Neuhaus created the ‘Chocolate Roulette’, an online spinning wheel that surprises you with a special combination. A spin of the wheel ends in a haphazard match of topping and bottom. From that random match you’ll also find out how intense the cocoa taste is, what the dominant aromas are and what feeling you can expect in your mouth.

Who wants to compose his personalised duet just a little bit more consciously, will find a handy brochure in the box that guides you through the different taste combinations based on a few food pairing principles. There too, a turn of the wheel provides the necessary matching inspiration. For each topping, three suggestions for a suitable chocolate base appear. One taste contrasts extremely well with the topping in question, while a second base blends harmoniously with it and accentuates the common aroma of both parts. The third suggestion is a base which you might not have expected, but which was personally recommended by the Maîtres Chocolatiers. A carte blanche from an expert, so to speak.
