Today is the start of March and that awakens the spring fever in all of us. No more hibernation and time again to put on those long, bright and colourful dresses, or to opt for your favourite pair of jeans. This spring, it’s all here, even the Total Leather Look is making a comeback this season, along with the Glitter And Glamour outfit. The jogging and hem-chic are being left behind and we’re returning to the more minimalist but curious 90s. Can’t wait for spring? 1/ A Fresh Start
We’re off to a fresh start and into a trend that is no stranger to us, namely the long skirts and dresses that are already secretly reminding us of summer. This garment can vary from nude shades to slightly faster colours with or without a pattern. In addition, some models were smoothed out, while others contained creases. These fresh appearances were seen with brands such as Jacquemus, Christian Dior, MSGM, Maje, etc. Like the examples we picked, this outfit is only complete with a pair of sandals.

2/ Workwear
After this figuratively eventful year, where I was looking massively for comfortable clothes, brands such as Hugo Boss, Christian Dior and Chloé saw it as a source of inspiration. Workwear is easy to combine and very functional. We are talking about the Relaxed Tailor Look, which consists of very loose trousers and an oversized blazer. These looks, worn by the likes of Janet Jackson, Julia Roberts and Uma Thurman on red carpets in the 90s, are making their comeback this season.

3/ Puffy sleeves
Functionality is not useful in this section. Puffy sleeves provide that girly, romantic touch to your outfit, which you can be sure to bring out this spring. On the catwalk, we saw puffy sleeves pass by as part of a blouse, a dress or even a coat. Patou, Isabel Marant andAlexander McQueen are some of the many brands that presented their idea of a puffy sleeve to the world.

4/ The Total Leather Look
You have probably seen the picture of Victoria and David Beckham in the 90s, both fully dressed in black leather. Victoria Beckham was a member of a very famous singing group called The Spice Girls, while David had a huge career as a professional footballer. Do you recognise this picture? No? Then get inspired by the outfits we saw during the fashion weeks for the spring 2021. This look is very minimalistic and you can also simply partition it. Combine a leather trousers or blazer with a nice top or you can also go for the leather dress with your favourite pair of boots or trainers.

5/ Glitter & Glamour
To finish with a spiffy ending, we chose the Glitter And Glamour looks that featured numerous brands such as: Balmain, Chanel and Paco Rabanne, had included in their collection. Today, there is little reason to party, but in life, you have to hang the garlands! So pull on that glitter dress and dress to impress for your beloved one of roomie! You can make this look as chic as you like by dressing it up or down. For example, a dress or a suit fully clothed in glitter is much more dressed up than the combination of a glitter top and neutral trousers or skirt.

On the one hand, it looks like for the upcoming season we will be able to partly stay in our comfort zone by opting for the functionality of workwear. But on the other hand, we will be able to pull out our finest and most sparkling pieces and parade them down the streets
