Who remembers? The presentation of Jacquemus’ summer collection 2020 between the lavender fields in La Provence, France. It’s been a year now, but it’s still fresh in our minds (at least in mine). The French fashion house celebrated their 10th anniversary last year with a beautiful pink carpet hundreds of metres long in Valensole, the heart of La Provence.
This year, too, Simon Porte, the designer of Jacquemus, managed to attract all attention with an enchanting fashion show. This time, the lavender fields were exchanged for a field of wheat, just an hour away from Paris. Of course, in these bizarre times, things were a little different than usual. Unlike fashion houses such as Christian Dior and Chanel who chose to run their fashion show virtually, Mr Porte chose to invite around 100 guests, albeit spread over a 600-metre runway.

The proposed collection, called ‘L’Amour‘, this time consists of neutral tones such as white, beige and ivory. Also the oversized blazers are back this time. Jacquemus also came up with some special pieces, such as a few dresses that could perfectly serve as wedding dresses. A new variation on the well-known ‘Chiquito’ handbag was also presented, the ‘Chiquito Noeud’. The latter now also features a shoulder strap, so that the bag can also be worn over the hip.
We’ve already made a list of our favourites. Would you like to enjoy them?
