Ilse De Vis: the wild soul behind Wild Moon

Could you briefly explain the history of your case?

I was looking for a mindful activity that would take me away from my daily life of stress, obligations and hard work. So I started taking lessons from a private teacher and finally bought my own turntable. me-time. When there was a lot of demand, I gave it a name and created a webshop. Wild Moon stands for that untamed piece in you. Who you really are. The authentic person you become when you’re in nature, for that perfect me-moment. Traditional, handmade, earthy ceramics that guarantee your moment of pure happiness. Whether with a fresh latte, a granola bowl, or that homemade dish that makes you happy, served in a handmade plate for your friends or family, Wild Moon brings it close to you. Wild Moon also stands for anything that brings you closer to yourself. Moments of peace, purity, the love for yourself, the little things in life.

What was your personal journey?

Since I was 20, I have been a multilingual presenter for tv such as for Kanaal Z, RTV and TMF, but also for events. I have also done some voice-overs for Tomorrowland and Telenet, among others. I am also a moderator at Vlerick Management School, KPMG, Peugeot, etc. Since 2017, together with Mariska Blommaert, I have been organising with our company‘Talk to me’ courses for presentation techniques.

Ilse, can you tell us a bit more about your cookbook Wild Cooking?

For some years now I have been working with Frank Fol for our culinary television programme “Z-Mastercooks” on Channel Z. The combination of my passion to design ceramics and Frank’s conviction to be creative with vegetables, forms the solid basis and was a small step towardscreating a surprising “wild” cookbook. Together with the rightlocal partners and products, who are always looking for that little bit more, challenging and top quality to make the difference, we wrote out wild recipes for each season.
