If we have to mention one positive thing about the Corona epidemic, it is that Belgians have started walking en masse. During the first lockdown there was already an increase of 30 percent, later this even became 50 (!) percent. And now that the sun is peeping in more and more, it seemed the ideal moment to write an article about it. You may have noticed, but walking shoes are not so fashionable or sexy. That’s why we went in search of some nice ones to do your walking in style. Out with the clunky ones & time for some glitter & glamour. Small disclaimer: Of course we are aware that for long walks, professional ones are better. So think of our list as a list of the perfect walking shoes for your daily jaunt around the block or a short walk in the park around the corner.
1. SeeByChloé
Let’s dive right in with our favourite, the Florrie Rain Boots by SeeByChloé. They are made of white rubber and finished with beige leather details. For us, this is the ideal walking shoe because they are all-weather suitable. Sunny day? Then wear these under a nice summer dress. Rain? No problem: duffle up warm and these boots will make sure no water gets into your soles. In short, a must-have!

2. Grenson
Another topper is this pair of shoes from Grenson, the Nanette boots. It is their bestseller and is worn by stars like Hailey Bieber. They are made entirely of leather and are finished with beautiful silver details on the laces. Besides that, they seem to be very comfortable, so perfect to reach your 10 000 steps a day.

3. Tommy Hilfiger
Not up for a walk? But maybe a rain dance? With these ankle boots from Tommy Hilfiger you can jump and dance without getting your feet wet. Perfect to dare the rain and also super elegant! A nice detail is the buckle on the side, which is finished in shiny gold. These rain boots are also temporal, which means you can definitely wear them multiple seasons in a row!

4. Dior
As a fourth option, we have these D-venture boots from Dior. They are made from rubber, but Dior’s iconic Oblique motif is particularly striking. The model is inspired by a snowboot, making this shoe also very functional. A nice touch is the imitation sheep’s wool on the inside, which keeps your feet nice and warm. At the moment the sun may be shining in Belgium, but it wouldn’t be the first time that we can expect a late winter prick.

5. Prada
Canvas combat boots – Via mytheresa.com
These combat boots are really beautiful! Maybe a bit ruder than the previous models, but at least as fashionable. We can totally see it: a white dress, trench coat and bucket hat & you’re ready to hit that walk! These shoes are made of canvas, which makes them a bit fragile. Not the ideal pair for the rain, but perfect for a sunny spring day!

6. Jimmy Choo X Timberland
Last but not least: this unique collaboration between Jimmy Choo and Timberland. Where Jimmy Choo is known for its elegant slippers and Timberland for its sturdy bottoms, the two have found each other and perfectly complemented each other. Together they released a reworking of Timberland’s signature model. The shoes have been around for over 40 years, but are still very popular today. For this edition, Jimmy Choo has gone all out on the shoe’s collar, studding it with small crystals.
