Audi has once again raised the bar in the electric vehicle market with the introduction of the new e-tron GT models. This range, featuring the Audi S e-tron GT, Audi RS e-tron GT and the groundbreaking Audi RS e-tron GT performance, brings significant improvements in range, performance and charging capabilities, underscoring Audi’s commitment to electric mobility.
Improved Performance and Design
The Audi e-tron GT, since its debut in 2021, embodies the combination of appealing design and dynamic handling. The latest versions build on this foundation and introduce an all-electric RS performance model for the first time. Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, emphasized, “With the e-tron GT models, we are setting new standards in performance. The increased payload and electric all-wheel drive provide enhanced long-distance capability and significantly more performance.”
The new models have a distinctive design that underlines their sporty character. The S e-tron GT has an elegant yet aggressive front end with a black surround around the fully enclosed, inverted Singleframe grille. The RS e-tron GT takes a more radical approach, with a 3D honeycomb structure and motorsport-inspired elements. The RS e-tron GT performance model stands out with unique carbon camouflage elements and an optional matte carbon roof, emphasizing its exclusive status.
Technological and Sustainability Innovations
On the inside, the e-tron GT models feature sporty, durable materials. New seats, steering wheels and digital content reflect Audi’s new corporate identity. Sustainable materials such as Dinamica, made from recycled polyester, and Econyl, derived from recycled nylon fibers, are used prominently. The Audi virtual cockpit now offers additional information on battery temperature and charging power, enhancing the digital experience.
A technically advanced panoramic glass roof is available as an optional upgrade, which with PDLC technology can adjust transparency at the touch of a button, providing both privacy and light control.
Power and Efficiency
Performance was at the heart of the new e-tron GT models. The RS e-tron GT performance, with an output of 680 kW (925 PS), is the most powerful production model Audi has ever built. All variants have improved acceleration and top speeds, with the RS e-tron GT performance accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The new electric motors and lighter high-voltage battery, with a gross storage capacity of 105 kWh, contribute to improved driving performance and efficiency.
Audi has also improved its charging capabilities, with the new HV battery that can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes at a fast-charging station. This improvement is complemented by an intelligent thermal management system that ensures optimal battery performance even in low temperatures.
Advanced Suspension and Handling
The new air suspension system with 2-chamber/2-valve technology offers a balance between comfort and dynamic handling. RS models have advanced active suspension systems, configurable via Audi drive select with specific RS modes. This provides precise steering response and superior road grip, improving driving control and comfort.
Pricing and Availability
The new e-tron GT models are now available for order. Prices start at €126,000 for the S e-tron GT, €147,500 for the RS e-tron GT and €160,500 for the RS e-tron GT performance.
